Lean Turkey 2008
Lean Turkey Challenge is an event developed by Crossfit Central to motivate all participants to tighten up on there training and food regiment over a six week period. After the six weeks all teams will meet up for a team challenge workout. So here is the way it works: 70 members signed up via email and were placed in a male or female pool. Each coach drew a number from one to eleven for there lottery selection order. I picked number one! After each coach picked there number we all took turns drawing members out of a bowl. Each coached selected back and forth between male and females to form there team of 6 + the coach a total of 7 participants. After the teams were drawn individual goals are set, team practices are scheduled and each team prepares for the Challenge workout on November 22nd!My team name is Los Muertos (The Dead!) All of the other Crossfit Central Lean turkeys Teams should be scared very scared!

New Frontier
I have been doing Crossfit For Three Years in November. I have heard a lot of different things about what it is, how its done, and who is the best at it. The best crossfitters I have ever meet are named Greg Amundson and Annie from the original HQ. Josh Everett is equal if not right up there with Greg.I have seen a lot of people come into the community since I started and how its changed(positively) I will never forget the feeling of what it was like when I first walked into the gymnasium in Golden Colorado for my first Cert 2005. Energy and Excitement for what was possible and what was happening!

Painting in Maine
This is a little bit of video I shot of some of the guys painting Marshall Point at sunset.
I just returned from a really fun painting trip to Maine. I rented a house with twelve other painters on Marshall Point in Port Clyde Maine. Paul Schulenburg, Frank Gardner, Ernesto Nemesio, Casey Baugh, Logan Hagege, Glenn Dean, Eric Merrell, Colin Page, Lance Walker, Jeff Bonasia, Jerome Greene and Peter Kalill. But before going to Maine, Ernesto and I stayed in NH and VT for a couple days and had an opportunity to visit paint with living master Richard Schmid, Richards daughter Gretchen Schmid was our model.
Ernesto and me with Richard and our paintings of Gretchen. Ernesto painted her too but his painting didn't make it in this shot.
Marshall Point Nocturne 6"x8" oil
I did a small night painting with some of the other guys. Painting at night is always challenging but it's especially difficult when there is no moon out to give you a little extra light and color. You need to use a headlamp to see your palette and your painting, but the light of the lamp is so bright relative to the landscape that when you look up from your painting you cant see a thing until your eyes re-adjust. Eric Merrell and Frank Gardner posted some of their nocturnes on their blogs, and by the way please visit Franks blog and post a comment, I feel sorry for him that he doesnt get any traffic.

Brownies Can do anything (Round II)
These young ladies look so sweet! Well let me tell you, getting them to line up in a straight line is tons of work. Therin and I had a great day teaching these young ladies the Crossfit Central warm up and running them through Crossfit Kids relays.
