The new August/September issue of International Artist Magazine has an article about me with some photos of me painting the nude figure outdoors and in the studio. The photos are similar to the photos in American Art Collector and were taken by Jeff Newton.

October Colorado Workshop Canceled

The Colorado Academy of Art in Boulder has closed, and my workshop has been canceled.
This is text from an email sent out today from Peter Kennedy of CAA, it gives an email address to contact someone about a refund. It doesn't sound very assuring, if you were signed up for the workshop you should probably contact them right away. The doors are closed, the website is down, the phone is disconnected and the email address below is the only way to get in contact with anyone from the school.

"There are some outstanding refunds that still need to be addressed for future classes or workshops that some have registered for. Please respond to caaclosed@gmail.com if a refund is owed to you so we can begin to formulate a plan to try to pay those back."

Update: Just found this article online on the Daily Camera about the CAA closing. Apparently the instructors stopped getting payed 6 months ago.

Crossfit North Santa Cruz

Chest to Bar Pull Ups

The new Standard of Excellence! There is all ways some one complaining about chicken necking or reaching with the chin to do pull ups. Well Crossfit did away with any questions of a legit pull up. Chest to bar every rep thats the new standard.

The Turning Point

2008 Crossfit Games 3rd workout of the Day Saturday July 5th Aromas Ca.
My last W.O.D of the day on Saturday was 5 275.lbs Deadlift and 10 Burpees 5 Rounds for time . I had just come of a 4.12 minute Fran not Fran Fran(my new name for 21 15 9 Thrusters Pull up chest to the bar) with that time I had given up one minute to Speal and 30 - 40 seconds to the rest of the field. I knew if I was going to compete for the top 5 spots I had to make a move. I finished the deadlift workout in Two minutes and 55 seconds this time keep me in the comp. At this point my attitude changed and I was ready to attack the final workout and make a move.

This past weekend I competed in the Crossfit games bringing competitors from around the country and the world. I had set goals and made plans to win the games. After all the dirt settled I came in 3rd place over all! More pictures and videos coming soon!
