Turkey Trot

Jackson and Savannah Grace my Nephew and Niece. I had a great day at the turkey trot on
Thanksgiving day. I was able to run a 6.34 pace on a 5 miler. I could not of asked for better weather 45 degrees and a brisk wind.

Offical Crossfit Games

I have begun to train for the Official Crossfit Games. I finished 6th place over all in the Mens Division in 2007. This year I have my eyes set on 1st place over all. I have been training Crossfit for two years and have done amazing things with my fitness levels but I have never had one focus like I do now.

Live Strong 5K

Congratulations! All 8 of these lovely ladies did a great job at the live strong 5k. I had a blast as well, coming around mile 2.5 I saw the lead car with Lance Armstrong and Andy Roddick. Fight Gone Bad II

What a weekend! This Saturday was one of the best events CC has hosted. We had 49 people do the signature Crossfit.com workout Fight Gone Bad. There was over 80 people present at Whole Foods Pavilion and two bands The Murdock's and Black Noise Revival played great music. I could not have been happier with my best Fight Gone Bad Score to date 396! The first time I performed Fight Gone Bad I was in Golden Colorado at my first Crossfit Cert. I scored 286 not bad for my first time but Greg Amundson Scored 450+ that weekend.

The best thing about the whole event, we raised almost $6000.00 for Prostate Cancer Athletes for a cure.

Who Really is Austins Fittest?

If you think your fit Crossfit Central would like to challenge you to a FIGHT GONE BAD. This workout is modeled after a MMA fight 3 Five minute rounds one minute rest in between. We will have a free workout Saturday August 11th at Crossfit Centrals Gym. Workout will start at 830am. This invitation is to any one and every one. If you need a scaled version no problem.


Coaches Jim Cawley, and Bruce Evans of Dynamax are the original sources for our ten general physical skills required of optimal physical competence:

1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance – the ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen
2. Stamina – the ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.
3. Strength – the ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units to apply force.
4. Flexibility – the ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.
5. Power – the ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.
6. Speed – the ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.
7. Coordination – the ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movements.
