Every plein air painter has probably had some kind of issue with food while your painting out in rural places. In the backcountry there is no food unless you bring it, in France nothing is open after 3Pm except bars (Guinness will hold you over till dinner). Some artist I know say they don't get hungry while painting. Not me, if I dont eat lunch I'll paint a "frisbee"

The best fish taco's you'll ever eat can be found at
Whoa Nellie Deli in a Mobile gas station in Lee Vining CA. Lee Vining is a small town at the foot of the Eastern Sierra just outside of Yosemite. Don't let the gas station part turn you off, "this is some serious gourmet shit" and it's anything but gas station food. I stop here almost every time I paint in that area.
You get two taco's, one has a mango plum pineapple salsa and the second has a gingery sauce with lettuce. I think the ginger one used to have a wasabi sauce instead of ginger but they are still the best fish taco's I've ever had. My cellphone pic doesn't do it justice,

A Tipping point has occured! We had 90 + people out this morning at our Free community workout at Lady Bird Lake. I knew this day was coming but I didnt know when. I have begun to believe like I never have in the strength of a Vision combined with focused work and passion! Thanks to the community who is Crossfit Central and all of the coaches!
Chris, Ward, Charles, Tutty and Janet. I have been working with this crew + 9 others who aren't in the photo for over one year. I no longer see them as a group of clients but as great friends! Last year at the Crossfit Games I placed 6th over all. I was demolished in the Hopper... hung in there on the 5k and finished strong with the Total. Coming into the 2007 games I was not ready to compete on the level I was asking of my body. I was working 60 to 80 hours a week. I was squeezing workouts in when ever I could and my diet was zone friendly but very inconsistent with timing. In the first hopper I ripped off all of my calluses and did not finish the workout before the twenty minute time limit. On the off road hilly 5k I was wearing nike frees that virtually dont count as real shoes. I was slipping and sliding all over the trail. I was able to finish around 15th or 16th place. By Sunday Rhabdo started to set into my forearms biceps and shoulders 7 days later after the games my arms straightened out and my pull ups went down to 0. So when the total came around I could hardly hold on to the bar with my hands and the weight of the deadlift had to straighten my arms. To say the least I dont know how I completed the 2007 games but I did and saved face by not quiting. To say the least 2008 will be different!
